Worker Injured By Explosion at Grocery Store in Vista

A man working on the refrigeration system suffered "concussive" injuries when a pressurized tank exploded at Northgate Market at 1150 E. Vista Way Tuesday morning in Vista. The tank that exploded was about the size of a scuba tank, San Diego 6 news reported. The explosion occurred upstairs in a backroom. The injured man, who was not identified, was an employee of the company hired to replace the compressor. The grocery store remained open following the incident, which occurred shortly after 7 a.m.
The man was taken to a local hospital. Based on the reports of this accident, it is not clear why the tank exploded. Industrial accidents and explosions like this one in the workplace can prevent victims from returning to work and providing stable income for their families and loved ones. The man injured in this accident would likely benefit from consulting with a San Diego workplace injury attorney, who will assess the legal issues presented in the case and explain the victim's legal rights, obligations and responsibilities.
