Elderly San Diego Woman Found Dead; Caretaker Arrested on Suspicion of Elderly Abuse

San Diego police arrested a caretaker on suspicion of elder abuse Thursday after an 83-year-old Palm City woman was found dead in her bathroom. According to 10 News, a relative from Napa contacted police before 11 a.m. to request a welfare check on the elderly woman. The caretaker, Maria Moore, 70, who lived next door to the victim, was questioned and subsequently arrested on suspicion of elder abuse. She was booked into the Las Colinas jail for women.
