At Least Six Students Injured in Oceanside School Bus Accident
A school bus carrying El Camino High School students overturned Wednesday morning in Oceanside, NBC News reported. The accident occurred on El Camino Real at North Douglas Drive at about 11:20 a.m. The school bus, which was was carrying 23 students that were part of a tutoring program for local elementary schools, turned on its side after it collided with a small white sedan.
One of the students was airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. The bus driver and five other students were taken to local hospitals by ground ambulance. The cause of the crash remains under investigation; it was not immediately clear who was at fault.
