Woman Struck and Killed by SUV in San Diego

SAN DIEGO - 10 News reported Monday that a pedestrian was tragically struck and killed by an SUV on New Year's Day while she was attempting to cross a street in North Park. The accident happened at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday when Patricia Dora Martin, 82, of San Diego, was hit by a 2011 Toyota RAV4 traveling west on Howard Avenue near 30th Street. Martin sustained serious head injuries and died after being transported to a hospital at about 10 p.m. The driver, whose name was not released, was not cited following this devastating accident.
