Pedestrian Struck by SUV in San Diego

SAN DIEGO -- A 27-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was hit by an oncoming vehicle in Kearny Mesa. The woman, whose name was not released, was struck by a Jeep Liberty while she was attempting to cross the 8600 block of Spectrum Center Boulevard at about 7:40 a.m. Friday.

The motorist told investigators she was going between 15-20 mph when she felt a bump, then stopped to find the pedestrian woman on the ground behind her vehicle, 10 News reported. The woman was then taken to a local hospital with a possible broken pelvis.
