SAN DIEGO - A 54-year-old man was seriously injured Monday night after being struck by a car in Clairemont Mesa, 10 News reported. The accident occurred at the intersection of Genesee Avenue and Mount Alifan Drive at about 9:05 p.m. Monday. According to news reports, an Acura driven southbound by a 19-year-old man struck a 54-year-old man crossing the street in the 4000- block of Genesee Avenue. The pedestrian, who was not identified, suffered a broken arm and bleeding in the brain, and remained hospitalized with serious injuries Tuesday. The cause of the injury accident remains under investigation by the San Diego Police Department.
