Three Pedestrians Struck by Car in City Heights

SAN DIEGO - Three pedestrians, including a child, suffered serious injuries Saturday night when they were struck by a car in City Heights, the San Diego Union Tribune reported. The accident was reported at about 8 p.m. on University Avenue near 48th Street on June 4, 2011. Paramedics took two adult pedestrians and the driver of the car to Scripps Mercy Hospital and the child to Rady Children's Hospital. The driver reportedly lost control and crashed into a bus bench, a building and the pedestrians. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by San Diego Police.
