Cause of the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Based on news reports of this Chula Vista pedestrian accident, it is not clear what happened in this incident, and whether the pedestrian, or the teen driver, caused this accident. Police will investigate whether speed or driver inattentiveness contributed to this collision, or if the pedestrian simply stepped in front of the vehicle. Without more information, it is impossible to determine what happened.

Possible Wrongful Death Liability Considerations

In any event where a pedestrian is killed in a traffic accident, family members are well-advised to speak to a pedestrian accident attorney who can look into potential wrongful death liability and the cause of the accident. If it is determined that the driver of the vehicle caused or contributed to this accident, or the negligence of another party caused or contributed to this accident, the family of the victim may be entitled to compensation for their loss in a wrongful death claim. An attorney can advise the victim's family of their legal rights and their best course of action to protect their rights.
