An 87-year-old man died Sunday about five hours following a crash in Point Loma, authorities reported. The accident occurred at the intersection of Centraloma Drive and Nimitz Boulevard at about 8:15 a.m. on April 18th. The man, identified by the San Diego Medical Examiner as Rolando Arnold, was taken to UC Medical Center in Hillcrest where he died about five hours after the crash. Based on the news reports of this accident in the San Diego Union Tribune, it is unclear how the accident occurred and if any other vehicles were involved. The San Diego police department is investigating the cause of the crash.
